Happy New Year, folks! Thanks for bearing with us during our much needed break. Life is only getting crazier, and we just needed a breather.
Speaking of craziness, as it states above, today's strip is a tribute (and response) to the tradgedy that occurred last week in France's satire comic office, Charlie Hebdo. In case you missed the news, here's a report from the BBC. This shook us. As creators, as challengers of censorship, and as people - and Jackson & I would not be silent about it.
So, spill a drink for those who died - we will see them again in Valhalla. And laugh with them.
Check CommandoBear this week, Sam has prepared his own response.
I've been struggling to carve out the time to draw 6th Circle - between the apartment hunt, prepping Kickstarter rewards, commissions, a full-time job, and y'know, a life, it's been a serious challenge to find enough time to give a strip proper attention. But this attack on fellow illustrators has put me into a bezerker-like frenzy of creativity. I hate that it took the deaths of so many creatives to do it, but I see it as my duty to keep on creating awesomness to try and balance-out crap like cowards with guns.
So, we're back, and more viking than ever! (Yes, I did just use "viking' as an adjective. (It's also a verb. Look it up!))
Be excellent to each other. Party on, dudes.
